Ginzburg-landau Dynamics with a Time-dependent Magnetic Field

چکیده
The time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations of superconduc-tivity deene a dynamical process when the applied magnetic eld varies with time. Suucient conditions (in terms of the time rate of change of the applied eld) are given that, if satissed, guarantee that this dynamical process is asymptotically autonomous. As time goes to innnity, the dynamical process asymptotically approaches a dynamical system whose attractor coincides with the omega-limit set of the dynamical process.

Ginzburg-Landau vortex dynamics with pinning and strong applied currents
We study a mixed heat and Schrödinger Ginzburg-Landau evolution equation on a bounded two-dimensional domain with an electric current applied on the boundary and a pinning potential term. This is meant to model a superconductor subjected to an applied electric current and electromagnetic field and containing impurities. Such a current is expected to set the vortices in motion, while the pinning...
متن کاملExact solutions of the 2D Ginzburg-Landau equation by the first integral method
The first integral method is an efficient method for obtaining exact solutions of some nonlinear partial differential equations. This method can be applied to non integrable equations as well as to integrable ones. In this paper, the first integral method is used to construct exact solutions of the 2D Ginzburg-Landau equation.
متن کاملLangevin vortex dynamics for a layered superconductor in the lowest-Landau-level approximation
We have numerically investigated the dynamics of vortices in a clean layered superconductor placed in a perpendicular magnetic field. We describe the energetics using a Ginzburg-Landau free-energy functional in the lowest-Landau-level approximation. The dynamics are determined using the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau approximation, and thermal fluctuations are incorporated via a Langevin term. ...
متن کاملImplicit Integration of the Time-Dependent Ginzburg-Landau Equations of Superconductivity
This article is concerned with the integration of the time-dependent Ginzburg– Landau (TDGL) equations of superconductivity. Four algorithms, ranging from fully explicit to fully implicit, are presented and evaluated for stability, accuracy, and compute time. The benchmark problem for the evaluation is the equilibration of a vortex configuration in a superconductor that is embedded in a thin in...
متن کاملGinzburg - Landau vortex dynamics driven by an applied boundary current
In this paper we study the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations on a smooth, bounded domain Ω ⊂ R2, subject to both an applied magnetic field and an applied boundary current. We model the boundary current by a gauge invariant inhomogeneous Neumann boundary condition. After proving well-posedness of the equations with this boundary condition, we study the evolution of the energy of the solut...
